Designed for Destiny is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and women's shelter rooted in the heart of Hampton Roads, Virginia. We exist to walk alongside women who are navigating the darkest moments of their lives — providing safety, compassion, and a pathway to healing.
We believe every woman is designed with purpose and deserves to live her destiny free from fear, abuse, and isolation. Our doors are open to women of all backgrounds, ages, and circumstances. Here, you will find a community that sees you, honors you, and stands with you.
Founded on the principles of unity and strength, we offer transitional housing, counseling referrals, legal advocacy resources, and life-skills programming — all within a nurturing, trauma-informed environment.
Since planting our roots in 2019, we have walked with hundreds of women through their darkest nights and into their brightest mornings. Every year, our sisterhood grows stronger — and so does our resolve. What began as a vision rooted in faith has blossomed into a living, breathing community of restoration. We are proud of how far we have come, and even more excited about where we are going — together.
